What is Advisor Profile?
E&V provides a personalized and intricate profile for all their agents, aka, Advisors. This Dashboard allows it's users to upload financial documents, personalize fun facts, include testimonials, and much more. This information is organized on the backend to be displayed to the front-end websites for advertising.
My Project Focus
The goal of this project was to enhance and simplify this profile, which will allow users to easily update their information. We did this by staying true to consistent patterns, simple UI, and bold hierarchy.
Problem Statement
"The current profile experience is clunky. I get lost often and have to reach out to support often to try to upload images and resources for my team of advisors."
-Team Admin Manager
User Persona: The Advisor (Agent)
-
Document-Ready: They require straightforward upload and management of financial and compliance documents.
-
Brand-Promoter: They want intuitive tools to build and maintain their personal brand, including headshots and specialty listings.
-
Mobile-Friendly: They often update profiles between client meetings, so they need a responsive, on‑the‑go editing experience.

Discovery & Research
To inform the design decisions, we conducted a series of moderated A/B testing. Based on user feedback, we were able to quickly itterate and lock in on design patterns.
What I Learned
Maintaining uniform patterns across the dashboard reduces cognitive load and boosts confidence in users.
Consistency Boosts Confidence:
Uniform interface patterns make it easier for advisors to navigate and update their profiles quickly. When users encounter familiar layouts and controls, they complete tasks with fewer mistakes and greater satisfaction.
User Feedback Drives Improvement:
Conducting usability tests with real advisors helped uncover hidden pain points early in the process. Iterating based on this feedback led to measurable gains in efficiency and a more intuitive dashboard.
